 I am Amy A Anger (hence the A3). A licensed lawyer in Michigan who is in (and always has been) in good standing.

I started my career at the discount retailer, Kmart Corporation. It was an unusual path to go from law school directly in-house, but I think it was the perfect path for me. My entire career has been spent "living with my clients". What do I mean by that? My office is next to your office, your goals are my goals, when you succeed I succeed. I learned that by going directly in-house. From Kmart, I moved to Kelly Services and then to Stefanini as their General Counsel.  I did do a short stint as an independent consultant and worked for a start-up (I was employee #3) doing business development and sales. Those business roles taught me to be more empathic to the challenges of my clients. Every lawyer should spend some time as a business person.

That journey is proof that my greatest strength is my adaptability, which I consider my superpower. Throughout my in-house corporate career, I have developed extensive expertise in contract review, strategic legal advice, and risk mitigation. I have a proven track record in corporate compliance and ethics, HIPAA, and privacy, delivering actionable insights that simplify complex legal concepts, often with a touch of humor.

My mission is to help companies align their legal frameworks with their business goals, ensuring they are well-equipped to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Personally, I am a founding member of Impact100 Metro Detroit. I have been married for 30+ years and have 2 grown children (both boys) and 2 black labs.
